COVID-19 management

Information for clients

The continued spread of COVID-19 is a concern to all of us.

In line with the latest Government and public health advice, we will continue to wear masks when indoors and directly in contact with people. We will remove our mask when outside away from people and in particular where the weather makes it difficult to continue working with the mask on, e.g., Heat or Humid

We will sanitise between locations and, where necessary clean any equipment if there is a risk of contamination.

Smart Home Services

Smart-Home devices can be used through Smartphone Apps or via voice control through a speaker or Hub, such as a Google Nest or Amazon Alexa.

Smart Home devices provide the following benefits for NDIS Participants:

  • Increased access to information
  • The ability to control lights, switches and devices through apps and voice commands
  • Increased security and safety
  • The ability to have a pre-set list in a Smart speaker to prompt or remind about activities and appointments

They are a Non-destructive options for rental and housing department properties and can be more cost-effective than property modifications.

Standard Smart Home devices are:

  • Camera doorbells: - See who is at the door or gate
  • Smart door locks:- Providing electronic security to premises, removing the risk of unauthorised key duplication
  • Lightbulbs: - Can be turned on or off without using a wall switch, increasing safety
  • Security cameras: - They can be used through the network or externally through the internet
  • Power sockets: - Can be used to turn on or off an appliance
  • Smart speakers and hubs: - Can control devices, read information or provide a verbal list of Reminders

There are several beneficial purposes that smart home devices can have in aiding improved lifestyle, safety and accessibility for NDIS participants.
